The BC Alpine office is back to regular working hours as of today after being at somewhat reduced hours for the holidays. Lots of registration changes have occurred in the last few weeks and we're busy today trying to verify the new and changed records and merge them with the national database as well as FIS. We hope to have all the new competitor cards generated by the middle of this week so if you are a new member and hoping to race in one of the many races this coming weekend, please check on Wednesday to see if your competitor card number has been generated.
Some pretty extreme weather conditions this season have delayed and cancelled several events as well as made travel a little more difficult than usual. We suggest that you keep watching our news page and checking race notices for updated information regarding events you may be attending.
Congratulations to BC Alpine Coaches Pierre Luc Dumoulin and Joanna Magee! They are the proud parents of a bouncing baby boy born yesterday, January 4th, 2009 in Banff, Alberta. We don't know the little guy's name yet, but we do know he came into this world weighing 6 lbs, 7 oz and that Mom, Dad and baby are all doing well. With those genes, he should be winning ski races in no time!
